In 1968 Victor Patnode began the company, Vic & Sons. Robert Patnode, son of Victor worked in the oil industry. In 1970, Robert Patnode took over the oil company, renaming it Patnode Oil - they did oil distribution, propane distribution, furnace instillation and repair. Todd Patnode, son of Robert worked for him for many years. Until Robert retired from the heating oil industry in 2005. Todd Patnode and wife Lisa began the company as known today, Swanzey Oil. They specialize in home heating oil, on road and off road fuels. Offereing automatic delivery, will call delivery, budgets and pre-pay.
